James Lyttleton Powell
February 11, 1922 — January 18, 2013
Mr. James Lyttleton Powell passed away at his residence on Friday, January 18, 2013. He was born on February 11, 1922, in Chantilly, VA to the late Henry and May Powell. Mr. Powell was a US Navy veteran of WW II and went on to work for the US Navy Department as a Procurement Officer. Mr. Powell is survived by his children Heather (Emma Chattin) James, Laura (Mark) Evans and Stephen (Donna) Powell and his sister Jane Whittenberger. He is also survived by grandchildren Mark Jr., Priscilla, Jimmy, Nicole and Heather; great grandchildren Evelyn, Robert, Alan and Mae. Mr. Powell was predeceased by his wife Winifred and brothers Henry and Ralph. Friends may call on Monday, January 28 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. where services will be held on Tuesday, January 29 at 11 am. Interment will be in Norbeck Memorial Park.
