Jane N. Currie

Jane Nolan Currie, age 87, of Laurel, MD, died peacefully shortly after midnight on Sunday, May 19, 2013, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 1, 1926 in Frankfurt, PA to the late Edward and the late Elizabeth (nee Schaeffer), and grew up in Philadelphia, PA.

Jane was a resident of Laurel since 1954 and a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, George Currie; two daughters Sharon Currie Carroll (and her husband John) and Donna Currie McCue (and her husband Andrew). Jane is also survived by her grandchildren; Kevin, Amanda, Lindsey and Katilyn Carroll and Nolan, Haley and Devon McCue. Jane was the sister of Edward and Lawrence Nolan. Jane was preceded in death by her son Kevin George Currie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, May 23, 2013 beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 8603 Contee Road, Laurel, Maryland 20708. The family will be receiving friends at the church one hour prior to the Mass.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to the American Cancer Society.
