Janet R. Brooks

Janet Rentschler Brooks, 87, died October 26, 2015 at Laurel Regional Hospital.  Mrs. Brooks was the daughter of Henry Diehl and Doris Eike Rentschler of Sayre, Pennsylvania where she grew up.  She was a long time resident of Laurel, Maryland.  A graduate of Swarthmore College, Mrs. Brooks taught elementary school in Anne Arundel County and later worked for Wards in Laurel.  She was a member of St. Philips Episcopal Church in Laurel.  She is survived by two sons Timothy of Laurel and Robert of Westminster, Maryland and their families; grandsons Peter, Christopher, and Jeremy; and great-granddaughters Asher and Amelia.  She is also survived by one sister Gretchen Rentschler of Sayre and one brother Walter of Chocowinity, N.C.
