Janice M. Futrell

Janice M. Futrell (nee Holloman), was born February 24, 1926 in Colerain Township, Bertie County, North Carolina. She passed away  peacefully surrounded by her family on, August 24, 2016 in Leesburg, VA. Janice moved to Savage, Maryland in 1956 and lived there until 2012. She worked for Mobern Electric and later for the Whitehead Bus Co.  She loved to travel, garden and spend time with her family and friends.  She is the beloved mother of Libby Gunnett and her husband Gary, James Futrell and wife Ceci, Vernon Futrell and his wife Vickie and the late Stanley Greene; devoted grandmother of Cheryl Correll, J.R. Futrell, Jeffery Futrell, Jacqueline Futrell-Gearhart, Melissa Bennett, Zach Futrell, Cara Futrell and the late Wendy Stelmach; loving great grandmother of Brandy, Melissa, Crystal, Austin and the late Angel Pittman; dear sister of Lydia Nance, Shirley Pierce, Jim Holloman and the late Vernell Davis,  Joseph Holloman and Virginia Catlin and her twin sister Jeanette Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Donaldson Funeral Home, PA. 313 Talbott Avenue on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm where a service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 1 pm. Interment to follow at Columbia Memorial Park.
