Janice E. Graver

Janice E. Graver, of Laurel passed away on Monday April 4, 2016 in Laurel Regional Hospital due to complications from her battle with cancer.

Janice was born October 5, 1952, the daughter of George and Margaret (McKenzie) Clayton.  She grew up in Riverdale, Maryland. 43 years ago she married David Graver, Sr., the love of her life. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping and taking pictures. Janice loved her work, she was employed at Laurel Elementary School in the food service department. She loved her co-workers and the children, who called her Ms. Janice. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, David; two sons, David Graver, Jr. and his wife Amanda, Mike Graver and his wife Amy; her grandsons, Aidan, Lane, Dolan, Bram and a granddaughter due in May. Also surviving are her sisters; Shirley and her husband Dave Pilkerton, Peggy and her husband Donald Vaughn, Barbara and her husband Lucien Maisonneuve, Bonnie and her husband John Helms, Terri and her husband Donald Allen and Karen Clayton; a brother, John Clayton and his wife Tina; two sisters-in-law, Helga Clayton and Lois Clayton and a brother-in-law, Doug Hodge.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert and Jerry Clayton and a sister Nancy Hodge.

Visitation will be held Sunday April 10, 2016 from 1:00 until 4:00 in the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. 313 Talbott Ave. Laurel, MD. and Monday April 11, in the morning from 10:00 until 11:00 in the Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Monday April 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. Chapel with burial to follow at 1:30 in Parklawn Memorial Park, 12800 Viers Mill Road, Rockville, MD.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to her family to help with expenses incurred during her illness.

Janice and David were care-free people. For the visitation and service, the family requests you dress as casually as you would like, anywhere from jeans to your Sunday best.
