Janice Lynn Hall

Janice Lynn “Jan” Hall of Savage passed away on August 29th, 2022 at the age of 71. She was born on February 17th, 1951 to Irvy S. and Jeanetta A. Hall.

She is predeceased by Sisters: Darlene Boyd and Sharon L. Nichols, and survived by Sisters: Patricia A. Hall, Vanessa E. Hall, as well as Nephews: Kevin M. Hall (Brenda) and Stephen Boyd.

Jan Graduated from Atholton High School in 1970 and worked as a Secretary in the Department of Astronomy at the University of Maryland until 2011. She was not only a Secretary to a very important professor at the University of Maryland, but also the main caregiver for her parents and also helped raise her Nephew Kevin.

Jan enjoyed reading, going to the movies, driving, going out to eat, playing solitaire, going on trips, and hanging out with friends and family. She was also a member of the First Assembly of God church in Laurel, Maryland where she was a Missionette leader.

Jan was a very generous person who would do for anyone who needed help. Even though she had no children of her own, she loved kids and played a big role in bringing joy into the lives of many children over the years.

A Memorial Service will be held for Jan on Tuesday, September 20th, 2022 at The Donaldson Funeral Home at 313 Talbott Ave. Laurel, MD 20707.
