Jeanne Anne (Ostmann) Wines

Jeanne Anne Wines, age 64, passed away in Savage, Maryland on April 27, 2024. Born April 2, 1960 in Cheverly, Maryland to Mary and Gene Ostmann. Jeanne was preceded in death by her father Gene, grandmother Laura Somerville, and uncle Edward Somerville. Jeanne is survived by her husband Norman, daughter Laura Imirie (Andrew), mother Mary Ostmann, and grandpuppy Lizzie.

Jeanne worked as an Office Manager for the Department of Defense, Ft. Meade MD, from 1979 to 2018 retiring with 39 years of employment. She returned to the Department of Defense in 2019 as a contractor before officially retiring in 2021. She was a member and past President of the Savage Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary from 1980 to present where she contributed greatly to the organization and made lifelong friendships.

Jeanne’s dream was to live at her house in Delaware after retirement as she loved spending time at the beach. However, with her determination to help in ever-evolving family needs, her dream never came to fruition. Taking care of her family was her priority and the Wines’ were blessed to have Jeanne as a part of their family. In addition to loving her house in Delaware and her family, she loved to play bingo, sit on the boardwalk watching the sights, and attending family gatherings and celebrations

The family will receive friends at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel on Thursday, May 2 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Savage Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
