Gerald  L.“Jerry” Showalter passed away on May 20, 2017, born in Glendale, WV and spent most of his life in Laurel, MD with his wife and kids before retiring to Smyrna , DE; beloved husband of Mary Margaret “Marge”Showalter; devoted father of Stacy Smith, Scott Showalter and Cindy Marshall; loving grandfather of Samantha Marshall, Emily Smith and Andrew Marshall. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Donaldson Funeral Home, PA. 313 Talbott Avenue Laurel, Maryland 20707 on Thursday from 5 until 8 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church on Friday at 10 am. Interment to follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
