Joan C. Enders

Joan C. Enders (nee Ragland) of Dayton, MD, formerly of Laurel, MD, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2015.  Beloved wife of the late John "Jack" C. Enders, she is survived by her daughter, Karen Olive and her husband Tom, and her son, John D. Enders.  Also surviving are her seven grandchildren, Stephen and his wife Sandra, Kevin, Kristen, Brian, Miki and her husband Kevin, Kyle, and Dale; two great-grandchildren, Chloe and Luke; and one great-grandchild on the way.  Joan was born and raised in Washington, D.C., where she graduated with the class of 1951 from McKinley High School and was a member of Lambda Sigma Delta,   Married shortly after high school, Joan and her husband Jack eventually settled in Laurel where Joan was a member of the First Baptist Church and loved to sing in the church choir.  She was a dedicated federal employee, retiring from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in 1996.  Joan will be buried with her husband  at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Crownsville at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
