Joan Elizabeth Wines

Joan Elizabeth Wines was born on September 25, 1940 to Robert and Virgie Sherman. She married Maynard Wines on August 31, 1957. From that union came three wonderful children and 5 grandchildren. Joan came to know the Lord in 1975 and was an active member at First Baptist Church of Savage until she became ill. Joan enjoyed working outside in her garden; however, spending time with her grandchildren was her favorite activity. She worked for 10 years at River Island Apartments in Savage, Maryland then retired to provide childcare for her each of her grandchildren. She was a member of the Savage Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was proud of her husband, sons, and grandson that each went on to serve Station 6.

Joan is survived by her husband, Maynard, three children (Norman (Jeanne Anne), Ray (Jayne), Missy (Bryon Honeywell)), five grandchildren (Laura, Amber, Danny, Karley, and Brandon), her brother (Jimmy), and sister (Irene), and a large number of additional family and friends.

She was preceded in death by Parents-Robert and Virgie and siblings-Gilbert, Mary Alice, Frances, Virginia, Marie and Robert Jr.
