Joel Xavier Celestine

Joel Xavier Celestine, 18, of Laurel, MD passed away on January 6, 2014. He was born on February 20, 1995 in Brooklyn, NY to Kurt Joel and Monica Celestine. He was a recent graduate of Reservoir High School and was attending Howard Community College. He attended the Tabernacle Church in Laurel. Joel enjoyed making people laugh, he was extremely confident and very intelligent. Joel had a special love and passion for video games and animals. He also enjoyed writing, tae kwon do, skateboarding, playing the clarinet, and showed an interest in theatre and film.
In addition to his parents, Joel is survived by his sisters Khadijah and Kiesha Celestine; brothers Kadeem and Joseph Celestine; grandmothers Una Lindsay and Lucille Riggins; his childhood pug Chauncey; and a host of loving relatives and friends.
