John E. Lacarrubba

John E. LaCarrubba of Laurel, Maryland, formerly of North Tarrytown, NY, passed away at home on January 23, 2014 surrounded by his lovIng family. John was born in North Tarrytown on Nov. 25, 1920 to Emanuel and Mildred (Zingaro) LaCarrubba and graduated from North Tarrytown High School in 1939.
John's long career was dedicated to service to his country. From 1940 to 1947, John served as a radioman in the U.S. Navy. From 1947 to 1967
John served in the U. S. Army Counter- lntelligence Corps. In the ensuing years and until his retirement in 1982, John was a special agent with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration. His career involved international travels.
John leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Resi Peter LaCarrubba and his children Deborah (Michael) Nielson, Dundalk, MD, John E. (Dolores) LaCarrubba, North River, N.Y., Michael LaCarrubba, Laurel, MD, Steven (Penny) LaCarrubba, Laurel, MD, grandson Ronald (Lisa) Forsyth, Bowley's Quarters, MD., grandchild Adelina LaCarrubba, great-grandchild Hailey Forsyth, siblings Dominick LaCarrubba, Canton, GA., Mafalda Tornello, Sleepy Hollow, NY and
numerous loving nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his first wife, Marie Delfay LaCarrubba and his sister Theresa Andres.
John's passion was the great outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
Visitation and funeral services in New York are being handled by Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown, NY. Interment to follow at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY.
