John Mccarron

October 20, 1963 — July 27, 2014

John J. McCarron of Beltsville passed away on July 27th, 2014 in Chicago, IL. Though born in Bronx, NY on October 20, 1963, he called Beltsville home for the past 24 years. John was a loving husband to Julie (nee Goeller). John was an incredible father to his children, Tara Wheeland and her husband Daniel of Chicago and Mary of Washington, D.C. and a caring brother to Mary Sheridan, and Andrew, Kevin, and Gerald of New York. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Dympna, and is also survived by many loving family members and friends.

John graduated from Georgetown University in 1984, where he met and fell in love with his wife Julie, with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemistry and from the University of Maryland in 1991 with a Master's Degree in Management Science. He worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for 16 years, where he will be remembered as a strong leader and dedicated public servant. John loved coaching his daughters' soccer teams with the Laurel Boys & Girls Club and will be fondly remembered by the many players he coached. He was also an avid golfer, world traveler, and college football fan.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to the Georgetown University Scholarship Fund, 2115 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Suite 500, Washington, D.C. 20007. Thank you.
