John G. Parks

John Gutierrez Parks, age 90 passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 11:30 pm.
He was born in 1927, to George Langworthy Parks and Petronilla Gutierrez Parks in Tarlac, Tarlac, Philippines. In 1952, John came to the United States and settled in the Washington DC area where he started Spectrum Painting. He loved his job, was hardworking, and trustworthy. In his spare time, John enjoyed watching sports, going out to eat, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Dolores. His loving children, Valerie and Wesley. His grandchildren, DJ, Madisyn, Alyssa, Braylon, Audrina, and Haleigha. Great grandson, Messiah. And sisters, Ruth and Lydia.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 12:00PM St.Nicholas Catholic Church, 8603 Contee Rd. Laurel, Md. 20708. Celebration to follow at 8403 Oakstream Dr. Laurel, Md. 20708.
