John Robert Pidgeon

Mr. John Robert Pidgeon, fondly remembered as Jack passed away at the age of 93 on February 16, 2018 in Rockville, Maryland surrounded by the love and support of his family. He is survived by his son, Gary Pidgeon; and daughter, Gayle Watts. Jack Pidgeon was born on March 19, 1924 in Houtzdale, Pennsylvania and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Later, he worked as a machinist for the Federal Government until he retired in 1980. John was married to the late Verna Foster-Pidgeon and was a loving father and grandfather.  John enjoyed playing billiards, eating pizza at the Stained Glass Pub, bird watching, and drinking his beloved cup of coffee after every meal. He was a member of the American Legion Post 268 and the VFW Post 2562. Donations in John's name to the American Legion and/or the VFW are welcome and appreciated. Friends and family can attend the memorial service. Service date to be determined.
