John Walter Zapalski, Jr.
February 4, 1946 — January 22, 2015
John Walter Zapalski, Jr. passed away on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Laurel Regional Hospital. He was 68 years old. He was born on February 4, 1946 in Washington, D.C. to the late John and Margaret Zapalski. He graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in 1965 and enlisted in the U.S. Army. He retired after 40 years from the printing industry working for several companies including Holladay-Tyler Printing Corporation. John enjoyed attending car shows and working on historic cars, especially Fords.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his wife Sara Zapalski. He is survived by his sister Lynn Class; cousins Carol Bondurant and Peggy Boyer; niece Melissa Samel; nephew Dustin Lynott; co-worker and best friend of 50 years Danny Guiffre.
