Joseph R. "Bob" Edelen

On Monday, August 6, 2012, Joseph R. Edelen passed away at the Gilchrist Center Howard County. Mr. Edelen is the beloved father of Helen (Patrick) McGroarty, Mac (the late Mary T.) Edelen and Dan (Patty) Edelen. He is also survived by his sister Betty McWaters and his 10 grandsons. Mr. Edelen's loving wife, Mary, passed away in 2008. A visitation will be held on Sunday, from 6 until 9 pm, at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Ave., Laurel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, 11 am, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, 114 St. Mary's Place, Laurel. Interment will be in the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gilchrist Hospice Care, 5537 Twin Knolls Rd., Suite 433, Columbia, MD 21045.
