Joseph E Tedeschi, a 46 year resident of Laurel, died at the age of 94 Tuesday, February 26th 2013 of complications due to congestive heart failure. Born in New Haven Connecticut in 1918, he was a World War II and Korean War veteran. He retired in 1966 as a Lt Col in the Army Corps of Engineers after 26 years of military service. He then served for 20 years as a civil engineer for the Department of Defense and retired in 1986. He was a member of the Antonio Gatto Lodge, an Italian American club for which he served as President from 1986 to 1988. He was married for 61 years to his wife Nancy until her death in 2008. He is survived by three sons, two daughters, two grandsons, and two granddaughters. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9th at 10AM at Saint Mary of the Mills Parish in Laurel followed by interment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joseph Tedeschi's name to the American Heart Association ( Https://donate.americanheart.org ).
