Josephine M. Kiebler

Josephine Maria Simplicio Kiebler, 92 of Silver Spring, Maryland passed away on August 23, 2021.  She was born on April 21, 1929 to Antonio Simplicio and Giustina Benedetto in Burke Hollow West Virginia.  She grew up in the coal mining town of Northfork West Virginia & was the oldest of 10 siblings.  She attended National Business College & after graduating moved to Washington DC to work at the Bureau of Public Roads. She worked for many years as a Court Reporter at Walter Reed Army Hospital, US Senate, DC Juvenile Court & Montgomery County Courthouse.

Josephine was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, & Sister.  Her greatest love was her family.  She is survived by daughters Ruth Kiebler of Hershey, PA, & Jean O’Donell of Silver Spring, MD.  Son Robert & his wife Joanne Kiebler of Laurel, MD & Son-in-law Curtis Ray O’Donell Jr of Burtonsville, MD.  Grandchildren Curtis Ray III & Maria O’Donell, Jaclyn & John O’Donnell, Lauren Kiebler, & John Reno Kiebler. As well as Great-Grandchildren Maci O’Donnell, Elena & Curtis Ray IV O’Donell.  In addition to many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

She is also survived by siblings Anna Knauf of Melbourne Florida, Vasile Simplicio of Winchester, VA, Micheline Noble of Bowie, MD, Judy & Toby Rhodes of Darnestown, MD, & Rosalie & James Owrey of Bluefield, WV.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as siblings Anthony Simplicio, Luke George Simplicio, Antionette Simplicio, and Nancy Simplicio.

Visitation will be on Saturday August 28 from 9:00 am – 11:00 am.  Service will follow at 11:00. at the Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, MD 20707.  Burial will be at Columbia Memorial Park in Clarksville, MD.
