Joyce Carol Mitchell, a lifelong resident of Laurel passed away on July 11, 2015 at Gilchrist Hospice Center in Columbia. She was born on December 28, 1939 to the late John and Thelma Hall. She attended Laurel High School and loved to read, enjoyed gardening, and listening to music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Donald Mitchell, Sr. in 1979. She is survived by her sons William Donald Mitchell, Jr. and is wife Bari and John Kevin Mitchell and his wife Patricia; brother John Walker Hall, Jr.; and grandsons William Ryan and Michael Paul Mitchell.
