Judith Huber

Judith Elizabeth Huber went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at age 72. She was surrounded by close family.

Judie was born in Baltimore, MD on January 23, 1949 to Wehland and Elizabeth Souder.  Judie married her high school sweetheart, El Huber, one month after graduation. She and El raised their three children, Jeff, Tracy, and Kevin, while living in Laurel, MD. They later moved to Horntown, VA to enjoy retirement on the eastern shore.

Judie is a Christ-follower who attended Lynnhaven Baptist Church in Pocomoke, MD.

In addition to being a loving and dedicated wife and mother, Judie also loved the Lord and shared the Gospel of Christ by serving others. She volunteered as a GA and Sunday School teacher, as a counselor at the Laurel Crisis Pregnancy Center, participated in Prison Ministry, led the craft department for VBS, opened her home to host baptisms and church fellowships, and went on multiple mission trips. Judie was known for her sweet disposition and steadfast trust in God. She remained faithful even as she endured 30+ years of medical complications from her battles with cancer and heart disease.

Judie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, El Huber; her 3 children and  their spouses Jeff & Judy Huber, Tracy (Waller) & Rob Castle, and Kevin & Ingrid Huber; her 10 grandchildren and their spouses Melissa & Billy Kratz, Michael & Melissa See, Travis & Cate Waller, Trenae Waller, Tressa (Waller) & Nick VanDevander, Trenton Waller, Siena (Huber) & Scott Villeneuve, Peyton Huber, Sage Huber, and Nikolas Huber; her 4 great-grandchildren Liam Kratz, Easton See, Savannah Kratz, and Logan Waller; as well as her 4 siblings and their spouses Joyce & George Clingerman, Nancy & Skip Styers, Lee & Maryann Souder, and Wanda & Bob Fansler. Judie was preceded in death by her parents, Wehland and Elizabeth Souder.

Visitation and Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Hope Baptist Church, located at 8801 Stephens Road, Laurel, MD 20723. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30am and Service will begin at 10:30am. A luncheon will immediately follow and is open to all. There will be no graveside service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in honor of Judie Huber to Saint Judes Research Hospital ( stjude.org ), Hope Baptist Church (hopeoflaurel.org), or The Chosen ( https://watch.angelstudios.com/thechosen ).
