June C. Barnes

June C. Barnes, a lifelong resident of Laurel, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012. She was the wife of the late Archie H. Barnes. Born in Laurel, on June 19, 1942 to the late Wilbur and Emma Salzman. Mrs. Barnes is survived by her sons David Barnes and Dean Barnes; sister Dottie Higdon and brothers Wilbur "Sonny" Salzman and Johnny Salzman. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren with whom she loved to spend time. Mrs. Barnes worked for C & P Telephone for 25 years. She loved yard sales, camping and cooking. A visitation will be held in the chapel of the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Ave., Laurel, on Sunday, December 2, from 2 until 4 pm. A memorial service will begin at 4 pm.
