June James

In Loving Memory of June Angela James, BSN, RN

June Angela James, BSN, RN, age 60, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026, in Laurel, Maryland.

Born on June 26, 1966, in St. Paul’s, St. George’s, Grenada, to the late Lincoln and Amelia James, June lived a life defined by compassion, service, faith, and love. She dedicated herself wholeheartedly to caring for others and touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to excellence.

A devoted healthcare professional, June built a distinguished career as a Registered Nurse, office and healthcare administrator, and a clinical nurse educator, serving communities in the United States.

Most recently, she worked as a Senior Clinical Nurse at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where her warm smile, steady presence, and steadfast dedication to ethical and compassionate care brought comfort and hope to countless patients and their families. She was respected not only for her knowledge and professionalism but also for the genuine care she extended to everyone she encountered.

Beyond her work in healthcare, June possessed a deep love for music and ministry both in Grenada and the United States. As a passionate choir director, she shared her gifts generously, inspiring others through song and fostering joy, fellowship, and community wherever she served. Her leadership, encouragement, and vibrant spirit left an enduring impact on all who had the privilege of singing alongside her.

June was a beloved sister, aunt, great-aunt, colleague, mentor, and friend. She is survived by her seven siblings; her sisters and brother-in-law; seven nieces and nephews; two grandnieces; and a grandnephew. She also leaves behind a devoted circle of extended family, cherished colleagues, and dear friends who will miss her deeply and remember her with profound love.

Though our hearts grieve in her passing, we take comfort in the legacy she leaves behind—a life of service, compassion, faith, and music. June’s kindness and love will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.

May she rest in eternal peace.
