Karen Lynn Lloyd

This obituary was lovingly written and submitted by the family of Karen Lloyd.

It is with our deepest of sympathies we announce the passing of Karen Lynn Lloyd, age 61, on August 21, 2024.

Karen was born December 8, 1962, daughter of (mother) Peggy (Hollar Holohan) Kascsak, Richard Kascsak, and (father) Michael Holohan. She also lives on through her husband Kenneth Lloyd, daughter Jessica Lloyd and son Joseph Lloyd; stepson TJ Borbonus, wife Meliza Borbonus and their children Jaiden & Alyssa; her sister Debra (Holohan) Lambert and Fiancé Matt Boone; her brother-in-law Kevin Lloyd and wife Fatima Perez; sister-in-law Katherine Hahn, and all of her loving nieces and nephews.

Karen graduated Duval HS in 1980 where she met her husband and recently celebrated 43 years of marriage. She was VP alongside her husband of Maaco in Silver Spring. She loved the beach, and spent many of her healthiest last years enjoying the serenity of the water and sand. Karens love for animals was shown through volunteering as a member of PAWSibilities Animal Rescue where she volunteered multiple times a week caring for the animals and assisting in events and the adoption processes. She was a beam of light and love to anyone that knew her, and will truly be missed.

Services will be held at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. on Wednesday, August 28, at 12:30-1:30 pm (313 Talbott Ave. Laurel, MD 20707) followed by her burial at Ivy Hill Cemetery 2-3 pm (1201 Sandy Spring Rd. Laurel, MD 20707.)  Close relatives, friends and others whose lives Karen touched are welcome at their home to reminisce, grieve, support each other and just chat proceeding the services from 3-6 pm.
