Karl H. Holly

Karl Howard Holly, Sr, 82, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at this home in Jessup, MD. Karl was born on February 13, 1930 in Windsor, Ontario Canada to the late John Holly and the late Jeanne (Nee Barnier) Holly.
Karl Holly was a Untied States Army veteran serving in Korea, where he received several medals including the Purple Heart.
Karl was the beloved husband of Joan, to whom he was married to for 61 years. In addition to his wife Joan he is survived by his children; Karen Rice and her husband Gary, Jennie Eckerle and husband Jerry, Terry Holly and her husband Dan, Bea Patterson and her husband Blake, Karl Holly, Jr and Jill Holly. Karl was the grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Karl is also survived by his sisters; Inez Grundy, Mary Hay, his brother Jack Holly, and numerous nieces and nephews. Karl was preceded in death by his son Jack Holly.
Funeral services were handled by Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. with Deacon Bob Gignilliat from St. Mary of the Mills Catholic Church officiating. Burial at Ivy Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.
