Katherine Mae (Green) Higgs

Katherine Higgs, age 96, passed away peacefully in Laurel, MD on Sunday, May 22, 2022.

Born February 19, 1926 in Savage, MD, daughter of Haywood and Mary (Sargent) Green. She lived in Savage and Laurel, MD and retired as a handicap bus aid in Howard County in her 80’s. Katherine was a member of The Savage Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and crossword puzzles. She loved hummingbirds.

Katherine is survived by Linda Warner (Johnny), Carol Rager (Ken), Paul Higgs (Annie), Barbara Honeycutt (Buddy), many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Katherine was preceded in death by husband Paul, brother Jack, son Eddie, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, Maryland 20707 in the chapel on Friday, May 27, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

A graveside service will be held at 2:30p.m. at Maryland National Memorial, 13300 Baltimore Avenue, Laurel, Maryland 20707.

Her loving children ask that you dress casually in her honor.
