Katherine Virginia Smith

Katherine Virginia Smith, a longtime resident of Laurel, passed away at Stafford Hospital in Virginia. She was 93. She was born on June 6, 1922 in Front Royal, Virginia to the late Joseph and Annie Williams. Katherine was a member of the American Legion Post 60 Ladies Auxiliary and enjoyed gardening, bingo, and playing cards with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles H. Smith, Sr., and 3 siblings. She is survived by her children Dorothy Karlstrom (Jack), Charles H. Smith, Jr. (Suncha), Thelma Poole, and Linda Harding (Buck); 8 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
