Kathy M. Tennant

Kathy Tennant, a contract specialist passed away unexpectedly on November 13th.  She was a resident of Bowie, age 60.

Born at Providence Hospital in Washington, DC and raised in the Maryland City section of Laurel, she was the daughter of John Patrick Kearney, a data processing consultant and Ella May Kearney, a homemaker.  She was a member of the 1978 first graduating class of Meade Senior High on Ft. Meade.  After graduating she pursued a career with Federal government in several different positions at various agencies around the Washington Metropolitan area.  At the time of her death she was employed as a contract specialist at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt.

She enjoyed spending time at the beach and gardening.

She is survived by her son Blair Tennant, grandson Ryan Shumaker, mother Ella May Kearney, brothers John D. Kearney, Chris Kearney, Joe Kearney, sisters-in-law Bonnie Kearney, Ann Kearney and Shawn McCarthy and nephews Patrick Kearney, Ryan Kearney and Jack Kearney.

She was preceded in death by her father John P. Kearney and her brother Patrick Kearney.
