Lauren Hageage, age 43, of Laurel, MD passed away in her sleep on April 24, 2026.
She was born in 1982 to Charles Sr. and Cheryl Hageage at St. Agnes Hospital, Baltimore, MD.
Lauren lived her early adult life in Laurel and then moved to Hagerstown and finally Frederick, MD.
She went to St. Mary's of the Mills grade school, Pallotti High School and the College of Notre Dame of Maryland graduating with a criminology degree.
Lauren loved the beach for swimming, looking for sea shells or a day of fishing. She was an excellent cook and her family always talks about the l0 lb. lasagne or fresh salsa that she would bring to gatherings. If she did not grow her own veggies, you could find her at the local farm picking her own fruits and vegetables. She loved roller coasters, horror movies, reading (sometimes the same book twice if it was good). Travel (loved Ireland) or any new places were a plus for her. She embraced anything new. She loved animals -- whether watching the birds at her feeder, squirrels or time-to-time a raccoon looking for food. She loved her two rescue cats. There was always a smile for the smallest of things. Fall was her favorite season.
She is survived by her parents and cherished two brothers, Chas and Ben Hageage, along with many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
Although Lauren had health challenges, she put herself last and everyone else first. The official cause of death was deemed undeterminable. We know, however, that God called her home now and she is both loved in heaven and on earth. The light she shone on us will never dim. Her beautiful smile, laughter and huge caring heart will always remain in us.
Church Services and interment will be at St. Mary's of the Mills, Laurel, MD on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11 a.m.
