Lawrence Burkett, Sr.

On Sunday, February 1, 2015, Lawrence “Larry” Burkett, Sr. passed away at his home. Larry was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 16, 1961 and has lived in the Laurel area for the last 30 years. He served many years as a Scout Master and Cub Master for the Boy Scouts of America. Larry is survived by his wife Cathy Burkett and son Lawrence S. Burkett, Jr. He is also survived by his beloved nephew David Fent, Jr., in-laws Bob and Charlotte Duvall; nieces, nephews and many extended family members. Visitation will be held at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Ave., Laurel, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held in the funeral home’s chapel on Saturday, beginning at 11am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
