Leonarda Pasay "Baby" Caraan

Mrs. Leonarda Pasay "Baby" Caraan passed away Saturday June 2, 2012 at Laurel Regional Hospital, in Maryland, at the age of 65. Leonard Pasay "Baby" Caraan was born August 8, 1946 in Cardona Rizal, Philippines the daughter of Alfonso and Camilla Pasay. She was united in marriage to Arturo C. Caraan on March 7, 1971 in Pandacan, Manila. They were married for 41 blissful years.
Leonarda received her Bachelors of Science degree in Education in Sampaloc Manila, Philippines at the National University.
She was remembered by her family as "always being there for everybody", and was considered a "mother" to everyone. Leonarda enjoyed gatherings especially in her own home surrounded with laughter and joy around friends and family, she loved playing bingo and the happiness it brought the whole family together.
She loved to prepare and cook meals for everyone and she loved how it brought her children closer to one another; it brought joy to her eyes to see her husband and her children bonding at one table, laughing and reminiscing about their childhood memories in the Philippines. She started her day early in the morning packing her children's "baon" for work until late afternoon preparing "merienda" for her grandchildren coming home from school. She was kind, caring and a loving mother who you can always depend on being there for you.
She is survived by her loving spouse Arturo C. Caraan, her devoted children and spouses; Jinky (Bobby) Francisco, Leonard (Cresmalyn) Caraan, January (Vlady Mher) Voluntad, Zeusczar (Eliza) Caraan; 5 adoring grandchildren Shaira Mae, Carl Justin, Ashley, James Arthur and Janemhier Anne.
