Linda Frances Palmerton

Linda Frances (Long/Palmerton) Wampler, 71, formerly of Greenbelt, passed away on October 4th, 2020 at her home in Laurel, Maryland.

Preceded in death by husband James Wampler, father Veola D. Long, mother Tula Long, and niece Kelly S. Nickolson.

Survived by sister Gwendolyn Nickolson, brothers Charles D. Long Sr., William H. Long, and Larry L. Long.

Also survived by nephews Kenneth D. Nickolson and Charles D Long Jr. along with nieces Amanda M. Lowery and Brandi J. Johnson.  She is also survived by six great nieces and nephews.

Linda devoted her life to her large, extended family.  Although having no children herself, she was a dedicated Aunt Linda to all her nieces and nephews.  She was also stepmother to husband Jim's son; Todd Wampler and grandmother to Todd's four children and two stepchildren.

Linda was a most loving, caring, and generous friend and sister.  She gave her all not only in her business ventures but to her family; she has earned her wings.  A celebration of life to be held on Sunday August 29th, 2021 at 2pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home, 313 Talbott Ave, Laurel, Maryland 20707.
