Linda Gail Turner

May 26, 1950 — April 13, 2015

Linda Gail Turner, 64, of West Laurel passed away quickly on Monday morning April 13. The daughter of Gail Crane Turner of Arbor Ridge at Riderwood and the late Howard Lee Turner, she was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. Linda received a BS degree from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Gallaudet University. She taught deaf students for four years in Des Moines, Iowa and for twenty years at the Model Secondary School for the Deaf. Her last fifteen years teaching were with deaf and special education students in Prince George's County. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brother, Ron of Reno, Nevada; a son Daniel Lee (Ana); a daughter, Katrina; four grandsons, Alex, Matthew, Joseph, and Vincent; and her housemate and best friend of thirty seven years, MaryAnne Royster. A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday at 2:00 at First United Methodist Church Laurel. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
