Lois Hart Rodman

May 25, 1920 — February 9, 2013

Lois Hart Rodman, age 92, a 10 year resident of Laurel, Maryland died on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Laurel Regional Hospital.

Born in Elmira, New York on May 25, 1920, she was the daughter of Herman Hart (deceased) and Christine Bauman Hart (deceased).

Lois moved to the Washington, DC area in the early 1940's to work with the FBI. It was while working in DC that she met her husband, William Rodman, who also worked for the Federal Government. After having children, Lois stopped working to raise her family. After her children were grown she went back to work first at Lerner's in Prince George's Plaza and then as a Library Clerk at the Hyattsville Library, retiring from the library as recently as February 2012. Lois was also very active with the American Red Cross, volunteering at many blood drives over the years.

Lois was the wife of the late William Rodman and the loving mother of Charles Hart Rodman and his wife Michele of Bullhead City, Arizona and Thomas E. Rodman and his wife Samita of College Park, Maryland. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Zeigler and her husband Paul Richard of Elmira, New York. Also survived by 3 grandchildren.
