Loretta C. Peacock, 88, of Laurel, died on June 26, 2025. Born on August 9, 1936, to Joseph and Fanny (Conte) Gemmiti, Loretta was the loving wife of Charles A. Peacock; the couple were married for 67 years before his death in 2024.

Loretta grew up in Mechanicsville, New York and was an active member of Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church in Laurel. She worked for many years for Arbitron Co. as a secretary, and in her spare time was an avid gardener, enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and she especially cherished time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Howard S. Peacock and Jeffrey C. Peacock (Carol); grandchildren Justin M. Peacock, Jamie L. Rutten (Aaron), and Christopher Peacock (Gosia); brother Vincent Gemmiti (Linda) and sister Barbara Pacelli (Nick); and seven beloved great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Charles A. Peacock, Brother Joseph V. Gemmiti Jr. and sister Rose Gemmiti.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass on Friday, August 1, 2025 at 11:00am at Resurrection of our lord church, 8402 Brock Bridge Rd Laurel 20724, as well as a memorial service the following Friday, August 8, 2025 at 2:00pm at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. Chapel, 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, Maryland 20707 to honor the life of Loretta Peacock.
