Lorraine A. Boccheciamp

Lorraine Boccheciamp was good and faithful servant her entire life. She passed away on January 12 at Gilcrest Hospice Services in Columbia Maryland. There were countless times in her life where if there someone in need she was first to assist whether it was giving clothing, or providing a hot meal..
She was born on June 19, 1935 to Lester and Florence Laing (who proceeded her in death) in Presque Isle, Maine which is in Aroostook County. She was the youngest of three children Lester Jr. Laing (who proceeded her in death) and Ronald Laing. She attended Mars Hill High School and later graduated from Atlantic Union College in South Lancaster, MA with a degree in Home Economics and Elementary Education.
Lorraine married Elias Boccheciamp (who preceded her in death) on August 7, 1960 in South Lancaster, Massachusetts and later moved to Takoma Park, Maryland where she taught at Sligo Elementary School. In her later years she worked as Day Care Provider in Silver Spring, MD. She will be warmly remembered by many children as Nee Nee. Lorraine was an active church member at Burnt Mills 7th Day Adventist Church and Reaching Hearts International. Upon retiring she took care of her youngest grandchildren Michael and Zachary Hutchins.
She will be fondly remembered by her children Elias David Boccheciamp, Valerie Schad, Rowena Hutchins, Shellie Boccheciamp, grandchildren Peter Andrew Schad, Christopher George Schad, Michael Robert Elias Hutchins and Zachary Dalton Hutchins who knew her as grandma and gaga. Lorraine will also be remembered affectionally by numerous family and friends.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday January 17, 2017 at 11:30 AM at the Burnt Mills 7th Day Adventist Church, Silver Spring, MD. Burial will take place at George Washington Cemetery.
The race is finished a long good life of serving others has ended. In Matthew 25:23 in the story of the parable of the talents the Master said “Well done, good and faithful servant…!”
