Loukha Diab, a devoted homemaker and cherished mother, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, in Laurel, Maryland. Born on March 20, 1935, in Lebanon, Loukha spent her life nurturing her family and tending to her home with unwavering dedication and love.
Loukha’s strength and resilience shone throughout her years. In 2021, she came to the United States, receiving a Green Card, embarking on a new chapter in her life with hope and courage.
Loukha was the beloved daughter of the late Kareem Ibrahim Diab and Maryam Abughannam. She is survived by her two sons, Fouad Francis and Georges Francis, who were the center of her world. Her enduring love and care shaped their lives in profound and lasting ways.
Her funeral service will be held on June 10, 2026, beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Church, located at 7142 Alaska Ave NW, Washington, DC 20012. Following the service, a graveside service will take place at 12:30 p.m. at All Souls Cemetery, 11401 Brink Rd, Germantown, MD 20876.
Loukha’s life reflects a quiet strength and a deep commitment to family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, and unwavering support, which will be remembered and honored by all who knew her.
