Marcus Lee Freeman age 26, from Laurel, MD went home to be with Lord on October 26, 2015. Cause of death was a car accident.  He was born December 30, 1988 at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, MD. He leaves behind his parents Mark and Josefina (Pantoja) Freeman; his close and younger, brother Adrian Freeman; his paternal grandfather: Thurman Freeman; paternal aunts Jacqueline Freeman; Sandra Sykes and one uncle: Barry Freeman and his wife Terrassa; cousins: Maria Freeman; Tontese Jackson, Morgan Freeman; Madison Freeman; Christopher Sykes and maternal aunts & uncles: Annie & Sam Swan (Spruce Pines, NC); Abe Porras (Phoenix, AZ); Rachel Porras (San Jose, CA); Socorro & Rufus Dominguez (San Jose, CA); Lupe & Mike Sanchez (Alamogordo, NM); Joe & Diane Porras (Las Cruces, NM); Kathy Porras (Raleigh, NC); Mary & Kevin Woods (Alamogordo, NM); Tony & Liz Porras (Alamogordo, NM); Felix & Donnine Pantoja (Rio Rancho, NM); Marty & Lisa Pantoja (Austin, TX); and Greg Pantoja, (Alamogordo, NM) and twenty-two first cousins and numerous second and third cousins. He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother Alma Freeman, maternal grandmother Pilar Pantoja, and maternal Uncle Johnny Porras.

After obtaining his HS Diploma from the Free State Challenge Academy 2007, he completed two years of vocational training at Johns Hopkins University Computer Career Institute, with a Masters Certificate in Digital Media and Computer Game Design. In April, 2014 he became a full time employee at the Maryland Live Casino in Ann Arundel County. For four years he worked as a part-time house keeper and also contributed volunteer hours as a student at Cedar Ridge Community Church. Marcus was an avid video gamer and had a wonderful sense of humor and wit. He also touched many lives in the neighborhood and in the community through his many acts of kindness. He loved attending early premiere blockbuster movies and playing ten pin bowling with his parents as well as playing bocce. He will be missed, and we will love him forever.

The family would like to express great appreciation to the Mayor and City Council of Laurel, MD and the efforts of the Laurel Police Department, and all family, friends and a host of social media contacts that spread the word during our time of need.
