Marie Irene Miles
July 4, 1941 — April 29, 2016
On Friday, April 29, 2016, Maire Irene Miles, beloved wife of Gordon Warren Miles, passed away peacefully at her home with her famiy by her side. Born Marie Irene Curtis on July 4th, Irene shaped a successful career in real estate, where she was the owner broker of Monarch Realty for over 30 years. Irene loved the beach and her four legged family, especially her poodles and horses. She always made sure her favorite horse, Spooky, had plenty of carrots to eat.
In addition to her husband of 58 years, Irene is survived by her daughter, Denise M. Miles; son, Rodney W. Miles; grandchildren Christopher Miles, Timothy Miles, Tyler Miles and Caitlin Miles as well as several nieces and nephews.
Irene’s family expresses profound gratitude for the care and support by Gilchrist Hospice.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM, with a memorial service to follow at 5:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20707.
