Marilyn Maray Gonzalez

Marilyn Gonzalez, age 68, of Laurel, Maryland passed away on November 13, 2023. She was born on January 31, 1955 in Brooklyn, New York to parents: Arturo Perez Torres and Rafaela Acevido.

She graduated high school is 1973 and worked as a dental hygienist until she retired in 2008. For a brief period, she worked as a flight attendent -- where one time she met actor, Roy Scheider from Jaws.

Marilyn loved making Christmas wreaths, cooking for her family, crocheting baby blankets and baby hats, telling jokes, playing bingo, doing puzzles and listening to music -- her favorite song being Broken Wings by Mr. Mister.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Hector Gonzalez; and five children: Cynthia Gonzalez, Craig Gonzalez, Carl Gonzalez, Caitlin Gonzalez and Tyler Gonzalez; eight siblings: Arthur Perez, Alex Perez, Ivan Perez, Antonio Perez, Emily Konklin, Abby Dandream Elizabeth Patsas and Robert Perez; and seven grandchildren: Malia Gonzalez, Craig Gonzalez, Jr., Carter Gonzalez, Gabriella Faulkner, Emilia Faulkner, Alexis Gonzalez and Ashley Gonzalez. She loved her grandbabies unconditionally.

She is predeceased by her father, Arturo Perez Torres; brother, Anthony Perez; sister, Evelyn Philips and son, Christopher Gonzalez.
