Marjorie Bader Bresson

On December 30, 2022, Marjorie Bader Bresson, 91, of Odenton, MD, beloved wife of Thomas H. Bresson, passed away peacefully at the Fairfield Nursing and Rehab Center in Crownsville, MD.

Born in Catonsville, MD, Marge was the daughter of the late Laverna and August Bader.

She graduated from Catonsville High School and served for a brief time in the U.S. Air Force before being honorably discharged in 1953.

She served in several administrative positions including as a secretary at the U.S. Catholic Conference in Washington D.C. where she met her husband Tom.

Married in February of 1963, she and Tom resided in several U.S. locations including Columbus, OH, St. Petersburg, FL, Monterrey, CA and Washington D.C.

She was a longtime resident of Laurel, MD where she was active with St. Mary of the Mills Church and community including Ladies of Charity and St. Mary’s school.

She was an avid quilter, and she enjoyed many types of games and puzzles and was a loving pet owner.

In addition to Tom, she is survived by her son Daniel F. Bresson (Cindy) of Smith Mountain Lake, VA; daughter Mary-Claire Burick (Greg) of Falls Church, VA; son Paul E. Bresson (Julie) of Severna Park, MD, and daughter Michele R. Bjelac (Samuel) of Arnold, MD. She was the beloved grandmother of her 10 grandchildren – Daniel (Megan), Amy, Stacy, Thomas, Caroline, Will, Taylor, Zoe, Matthew, and Kristen.

On Friday January 6, 2023 at 10:30 AM there will be a visitation at St. Mary of the Mills Church in Laurel, MD. A Mass of Christian burial will immediately follow at 11:30 AM. A burial service will take place after the Mass at St. Mary’s cemetery adjacent to the church.
