Marjorie D. Christopher

Marjorie D. Christopher peacefully entered heaven August 5, 2016. Born Dec. 3, 1929, she grew up in West Allis, Wisconsin and came to the Metropolitan area in her twenties. The last 48 years were spent in the Laurel area. She is reunited with her husband Nathan (Chris) H. Christopher, son Daniel Bruce Christopher and all her siblings. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters Cathi Lewis Boughton and Deborah Lewis Firebaugh and husband Tim, 2 step-children, 2 granddaughters and 4 great granddaughters.

During her career she worked as a legal secretary and retired from Tower Federal Credit Union as a Secretary in Upper Management. Passions included weekly Bridge games, traveling, beaches, fishing, plus entertaining in her home. She was involved with Snowhill Garden Club, Soroptimist Club of Laurel and Secretary for the Administration Board of First United Methodist Church of Laurel, Bells and Bows, Phoenix Society of Ft. Meade and a Girl Scout Leader when her children were younger. Per her wishes she will be interred privately with family at Ivy Hill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers we request donations be made to the Boys Town Home in Ne.
