Marshall Lloyd Ginter

On Monday, December 9, 2013, Marshall Lloyd Ginter, beloved husband to Dorothy Spencer Ginter for 56 years, passed away at his home in Laurel. Mr. Ginter earned a PhD from Vanderbilt University and Post Docs from the University of Chicago as well as receiving an Honorary Doctorate from California State University, Chico. Teaching at the University of Maryland, College Park from 1966 until 2008, he was a professor of Molecular Physics in the Institute for Physical Science and Technology. Mr. Ginter was born in Oroville, CA, on August 24, 1935, to the late Lloyd and Lois Ginter. In addition to his wife, Mr. Ginter is also survived by his children Gretchen McDaniel and Karl Lloyd Ginter and grandchildren Lydia Ginter, Bob Ramirez, James Ramirez, Wyatt McDaniel and Morgan McDaniel. Services and interment will be private.
