Mary Jo Edwards (nee Fraizer) Lovingly known as Jo, MJ and Memaw born in Savage, Maryland to Clarence & Evelyn Frazier. Mary Jo graduated Howard High School in 1956. She retired in 1993 from Arbitron. She loved traveling with family to FL to visit her brother, PA & WV to visit sisters, Bus trips, Canada with a sister and brother-in-law, and of course Ocean City, MD. She loved serving at her church Lifehouse Church Beltsville, MD and singing in the church choir, visiting the elderly or people in the hospital. Mary Jo was a part of a prison ministry at Maryland Correctional Institution for Women in Jessup, Maryland for 20 years. She would go every week to visit and have a bible study with the inmates that chose to come to it. Two of the ladies that have since been released from prison, she remained friends with until her passing. She liked doing crossword puzzles, playing games, and reading her bible and participating in bible studies. She loved spending time with and babysitting her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She made everyone feel special and loved.
She was predeceased by her siblings Thelma Baggs (Richard), Lucille Haines (Elmer), Ellnetta Buckingham (Edward), Marie Pasternak (John), Janice Garns (John), Frank Fraizer (Thelma), Wilson Fraizer (Margaret), Edward Fraizer (Dorthy)
Mary Jo is survived by her children; Gina Burdette & Suzanne Foreman (Robert, Sr.); six grandchildren: John Rafiq, Nathan Nevius, Heather McConnell, Tim Nevius, Robert Foreman, Jr, and Joseph Tyger; six great Grand Children: Taylor Rafiq, Julia Cheatwood, John Rafiq, Jr., Ethan Rafiq, Lylah Rafiq, Christian Rafiq; children of John and Chris Rafiq, Justin Sanchez, Cooper McConnell, Kaylee McConnell children of Craig and Heather McConnell and two great-great-grand children: Rowan Oskin, by Tyler Oskin and Taylor Rafiq, Blakely Cheatwood by Eric and Julia Cheatwood.
