Mary Alice Lloyd

Laurel, MD - Mary A. (Robertson) Lloyd, 80, of Laurel, died, surrounded by her family, on February 16, 2016, after a long and valiant battle against cancer. Daughter of the late Ettie Ruth (Guthrie) Wilson and Carl Isaac Robertson, Mary was born in Calhoun County, Alabama, on March 9, 1935. The beloved wife of the late Royce A. Lloyd, Mary accompanied Royce in his many Air Force travels, including Texas, Japan, California, Scotland, and Maryland. Mary is survived by her children, Denise and Sam; her daughter-in-law, Pam; her grandchildren, Shane Lloyd (Kent), Michael McAdams (Lauren), Jessi Collins (Dan), and Chelsie; her great grandsons, Beckham McAdams and Wesley Collins; her sister, Jo Freeman; her brothers Alvin Robertson, Travis Robertson, and Phil Robertson; and many dear relatives and friends.
A memorial service and reception will be held March 5th, 11AM at Oaklands Presbyterian Church, 14301 Laurel Bowie Rd. in Laurel, Maryland. A service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a date to be determined. Final resting place will be in the columbarium at Arlington National Cemetery.
