Mary L. Manning

Mary Louise Manning, 90, of Scottsville, VA and previously Laurel, MD, died on September 19, 2024

She was born September 1, 1934, to Russell and Louise Reeder in Williamsport, PA.

Mary was a long-time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fulton before moving to Virginia. An accountant by profession, she loved gardening, bird watching, and the many dogs she had over the years.

She is survived by her children, Patricia A. Szybist (Dan), Thomas E. Manning Jr., Susan M. Gallegos, Carol L. Lewis (Thomas) and grandchildren Lynn Szybist, Lisa Holland (Anthony), Janie Doyle (Patrick) and Scott Szybist. She also leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Jordan Szybist, Anthony Holland, and Parker Holland, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Thomas E. Manning and her brothers, Russell Reeder, Jr. and Harold Reeder.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm at Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A., 313 Talbott Avenue, Laurel, MD 20702 with a 30 minute visitation prior to services beginning.

Interment will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 11795 MD-216, Fulton, MD, followed by a reception in Clarksville, MD.
