Mary Elizabeth 'Mike" Boyce

Mary "Mike" Boyce, 84, of Laurel, Md., died Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Laurel Regional Hospital after a long illness. Born in Howard County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Edward Giddings, Mary Hobbs Giddings, and stepmother, Helen Giddings. In addition to her parents and stepmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Boyce, two brothers, Leroy Giddings and George Giddings, and two sisters, Frances "Pete" Grimes and Marion "Jim" Grimes. She is survived by her son, James Michael Boyce and his wife, Jeanne Baker, a brother, Charles "Bubby" Giddings, and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Boyce was a store manager for High's Dairy stores in several locations in Laurel. Later she worked with her husband at several electroplating companies. For much of her life she was a loving caregiver for her niece, Ruth Ann Grimes. The family asks that donations made in memory of Mary Boyce be sent to Special Olympics Maryland, P.O.
