Mary Angela Roberts

Mary Angela Roberts (Peters), age 82 of Ellicott City, MD, died peacefully on July 7, 2022 after an extended illness. Mary was born on December 18,1940 in Bluefield, WV and grew up in Charleston, WV. After graduating from Charleston Catholic High School in 1958, she attended Saint Francis School of Nursing in Charleston and graduated in 1961 as a registered nurse. She worked at St. Francis Hospital for seven years before moving to MD. After moving to MD, Mary worked part-time as a private-duty nurse. She enjoyed sewing and doing crafts with her children before her illness. She enjoyed her time with her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her former husband, Lawrence Roberts, Sr and his current wife, Beverly Roberts, their children Lawrence Roberts Jr. (Kendra), Angela Walsh (Gerard), five grandchildren: Ame Hnat, Julie Roberts, Megan Vitali, Maryclaire Gochuico, Patrick Walsh, three great-grandchildren: Henry Hnat, Reagan Vitali, James Hnat, and sister-in-laws Carol Elder, Shirley Conway and brother-in-law Conrad Conway.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Joseph Elwood Peters and Margaret (Stupalsky), and brothers Samuel and Joseph.

A funeral mass will be held at 12 pm on August 3rd at St John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Columbia, MD.
