Matthew Alexander Mohabir

On September 28, 2017, God called home his son, Matthew Alexander Mohabir. The son of Martin and Debbie Mohabir, Matthew was born on December 24, 2000. He was a child of God known as Lil Gims (God Is My Savior). He attended Reservoir High School in Fulton, MD.  He was a devoted member of St. Mary of the Mills Church. He loved reading his Bible and was a strong believer in prayer.

Matthew had a passion for Rap music and idolized Big Sean. He devoted time to perfecting his emotional lyrics whether through pencil and paper or recording bars on his phone. He made his own beats while producing all the components. He was loved by his community, friends, congregation, and most of all his family. His songs will continue to touch many lives.

At an early age Matt had a love for gymnastics and won many medals, trophies, and awards, including the State Championship. Growing up he participated in JROTC, Karate, and Marching Band. Matthew was an avid gamer and a Baltimore Ravens fan. He would indulge in different video games for hours with his friends online. In his downtime he enjoyed watching movies and Netflix. He was also very dedicated to staying in shape and maintaining his fitness.

Matt leaves behind his loving parents Debbie and Martin, his devoted sister Danielle, his grandmother Bethleen, and countless friends and family. His life touched so many others through his actions and his words. He will always be remembered.
