Melvin R. Myers

Melvin Russell Myers, passed away on Monday December 21, 2015 in the Baltimore Veterans Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Mel was born September 14, 1946, the son of Ralph Vernon and Mildred Irma (Penn) Myers. He attended Howard High School. He served his country in the United States Army, serving time in Vietnam.
Mel was a member of the VFW and Elks club. He loved to cook, fish and eat crabs. Mel was happiest helping others and was a Jack-of-all-traits.
He retired as a Master Electrician working at the Naval Academy in Annapolis after 28 years of service.
Surviving him is his wife Anna of 46 years; a brother, Vernon Myers and his wife Betty; a sister, Norma Myers and a sister-in-law, Carol Myers and numerous loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard and a sister, Nancy and her husband Albert Lowe.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 29, 2015 at 10:00 in the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. Chapel. Visitation will be held Monday December 28, 2015 from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 in the Donaldson Funeral Home, P.A. Burial will be in Maryland National Memorial Park following the service.
